Why The All-New 2022 Lincoln Aviator Is The Perfect SUV For You

Over the years, the name Lincoln has become synonymous with luxury and class. And this year, they have continued to stay true to that description by giving the Lincoln Aviator a complete makeover. The 2022 Aviator is a large and stylish SUV that comes with a wide range of advanced features and offers two different powerful and efficient engines to choose from. When you are sitting inside the all-new Aviator, you will feel as if you have been transported to a high-end luxury suite.

Exterior Design

The Aviator has a sleek and sculpted exterior design. Unlike other SUVs in its class, the Aviator is outlined in exaggerated curves that help to give it a less bulky and box-like appearance.

The front of the vehicle features a unique mesh grille design that has the Lincoln emblem proudly sitting in the center. A pair of LED, wiper-activated headlamps flank the stylish grille. In the rear, the large power liftgate gives you easy access to the interior cargo area. And the quad chrome exhaust tips help to add another level of athletic style to the exterior.

Spacious and Luxurious Interior

The interior provides three rows of spacious seating that can accommodate six or seven passengers. The second row comes standard with reclinable captain's chairs. The third row comes standard with a bench seat, but captain's chairs are also available in the far back row. There is also a large rear cargo area that offers 18 cubic feet of space with all seats in the upright position. With both the second and third-row seats folded down, the interior can provide up to 77.7 cubic feet of cargo space.

The rest of the cabin is decked out in high-end features, including a standard tri-zone climate control system. Heated seats and a panoramic sunroof are just a few of the available features that can add a little more luxury to the interior.

Technology Features

The 2022 Aviator comes standard with a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment display that comes equipped with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, SiriusXM satellite radio, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. There is also a standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster with an available heads-up display. To enhance your musical experience, the Aviator also offers an innovative 3D Revel sound system that features 28 strategically-placed speakers.

Safety Features

The 2022 Aviator comes standard with a wide range of standard safety features. Every Aviator model also comes equipped with the impressive Co-Pilot360 1.5 System, which is an exclusive Lincoln benefit that offers a variety of driver-assist features. Here is a look at some of the standard features that you can find on any Aviator model:

  • Rain-Sensing Windshield Wipers
  • Cross-Traffic Alert with Braking
  • AdvanceTrac with Roll Stability Control
  • Forward Parking Sensors
  • Electric Parking Brake
  • Rear Parking Sensors
  • Reverse Camera with Washer
  • SOS Post-Crash Alert System
  • Tire Pressure Monitor System
  • Pre-Collision Assist with Automatic Emergency Braking
  • Forward Collision Warning
  • Dynamic Brake Support
  • Pedestrian Detection

For an additional level of protection, drivers can choose to get a camera placed on the windshield that works with a sensor to scan for potholes and other obstructions that are on the road.

Power and Performance

The Aviator comes standard with one of the most powerful engines in its class. The luxurious mid-sized SU comes equipped with a 3.0-litre Twin-Turbo V6 engine that is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and can deliver up to 400 horsepower. If you are looking for a more eco-friendly option, the Aviator also offers a powerful electric motor that is paired with the same impressive V6 engine. When you combine this powerful engine with the 100-horsepower electric motor, you get a combined 494 horsepower and 630 lb-ft of torque.

The Aviator comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but an AWD system is available. There is also an Air Glide Suspension system that uses an automatic inflation and deflation system to make it feel as if you are driving on top of a cloud.
